This photo is one of my most favorite pictures of Hank and me (we look so young!). It was taken on our honeymoon, on the balcony of our overwater bungalow. Have you ever seen photos of those bungalows? They're amazing; right out on the water and waking up and looking out it's almost as if you're all alone in the middle of nowhere. We spent our honeymoon in Moorea, French Polynesia, at The Moorea Pearl and it was beyond our wildest dreams as far as beauty and pure amazing-ness. I think back to it and it seems like a dream!
We'd wake up every morning and walk down to the little French bakery, and split pastries and bread and jam, then we'd spend the rest of most of our days on the beach or swimming around. We explored the jungle, we ventured out to explore different areas of the island, and we swam and snorkled with some of the most beautiful fish and sea-life.
It's funny to think back to being newlyweds. We've been together now for almost a decade, and I laugh to think about our old selves one day looking back at all of these photos in awe we were ever so fresh-faced and new to everything. It's pretty amazing to look back even now, five years later!
